About the designer

"I am a wanderer at heart, with the spirit of Hieun Tsang, the 7th-century traveler who embarked on a perilous journey to India. As a child, I roamed the jungles of central India with my father, immersing myself in the sights, sounds, and stories of the wild. The rustling of leaves, the gentle streams, and the tales of his encounters with the forest's creatures instilled in me a deep reverence for nature. I felt an intrinsic connection to the land, a sense of belonging to the intricate web of life.
My mother, a skilled dressmaker, nurtured another aspect of my being. Watching her deft hands dance across the sewing machine, I inherited her passion for creating beauty. The hum of the machine, the whisper of fabrics, and the joy of bringing ideas to life through thread and yarn became an integral part of my essence.
As I grew, my love for nature and design entwined like the branches of a ancient tree. I became a self-taught designer, driven by a vision to craft clothes that not only adorn the body but also honor the Earth. I sought to create garments that are light, comfortable, and chic, yet mindful of the environment. My mantra: responsible design, sustainable practices, and a deep respect for the artisans who bring my creations to life.
I collaborate with master craftsmen from Madhya Pradesh, preserving traditional techniques and supporting local communities. From the sowing of cotton seeds to the final stitch, every step is a testament to our harmony with nature. The spinners, weavers, printers, dyers, cutters, tailors, and artists – each link in the chain is vital, and I honor their dedication and skill.
My journey is a slow, meditative dance, a celebration of the beauty in every thread, every stitch, and every story. It's a path that winds through the heart of India, connecting me to the land, the people, and the ancient traditions that pulse through our collective veins."
